NO CONTRIBUTION, NO CHOP.

 

Growing up as a child, this was our principle whenever we were joining our monies together for a small party. Whoever contributed in cash or kind received a share of whatever we prepared in an exact proportion of whatever was contributed. On the other hand, anyone who didn't contribute anything gets nothing at the end.

I've come to understand that this principle wasn't just a principle for our small parties but an underlying principle that works in life too. Your contribution is the value you render to humanity to make lives better. The problems you are able to solve for people to make the world a better place. The principle of no contribution, no chop is that, anyone who doesn't contribute anything to the betterment of the society will have no monetary reward at the end of the day to "chop". On the other hand, people who always contribute to the betterment of the society will always have monetary reward at the end of the day.

The greatest remedy to a life of poverty is a life of value. The law of value (contribution) is such that, any value (contribution )that is rendered has returns on it in terms of money. Value is directly proportional to money. As your value increases, the monies you receive in return also increases because the eagles will always gather where the carcasses are. Any institution, individual or business firm facing financial difficulties is a sign that there is no value rendered. Your being rich is tied to your giving; in terms of value. 

The table of riches operates by the principle of give and take. There is nothing in this world like something for nothing. And any amount of money you desire from the table of riches has its requisite level of value needed in exchange of it. So if you desire to be rich, just increase your value. It is your value that will give you an escape velocity from a life of poverty into a life of wealth.

It is true that no raw material has real value. As good as cocoa is, no one wants cocoa in its raw form even when it is free. But when value is added to it in a form of chocolate or milo, everyone wants it even when they have to pay huge amounts for it. So as it is with abilities and skills. You should make conscious effort to add a lot of value to your abilities so that it will the desire of men to choose you even when there are a lot of options.

You should make yourself valuable in your field. If you can't be the best, at least be among the best.That's how money will come to you.

Just as energy, money too can neither be created nor destroyed but can be transferred from one hand to the other to the degree of the value it renders. There are millions of monies that exchange hands every day. And if an insignificant percentage of that money comes to you, it means that you have not yet become that valuable to people. A magnet attracts magnetic materials and value always attracts money. So instead of chasing money 24/7 like some people do, just become a person of value. Remember the principle; No Contribution, No Chop.
